Cole war is over as Cheryl and Nadine Coyle make up on night out in London over a bottle of bubbly

Feuding Girls Aloud stars Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle have buried the hatchet â€" over a bottle of bubbly.

The bandmates â€" who haven’t been seen in public together since the band took a break in 2009 â€" bumped into each other on Saturday night.

It could have been an awkward encounter. After Cheryl contracted malaria in 2010 she ignored Nadine’s get-well message. The Irish star, who moved to LA to launch her solo career, said of her bandmates last year: “They’re not my friends.”

But when Cheryl, 28, and Nadine, 26, saw each other in West London club Rose on Saturday night, they warmly embraced before hitting the bottle.

A source said: “Nadine squealed with delight when Cheryl walked in. The girls shared a bottle of champagne. They hugged out their differences and even had a dance. Cheryl also got a round of shots in.”

Cheryl â€" who had to be helped into a car after she left â€" has plenty to celebrate. Her new single Call My Name reached No1 on iTunes on its first day of release yesterday.

Polly Hudson reveals details of that meeting... in full

THE SCENE: The Rose Club. Nadine sits alone with a glass of orange juice. Checking no one is watching, she opens her bag, gets out a bottle of Tesco Value vodka and is about to add it to the juice when in walks Cheryl Nosurname.

Nadine: “Chezza! Chezza! Top of the evening to you!”

Cheryl: “I’m not being rude, pet, but I’m not working. I’ll sign an aut ograph but then I’d prefer to be left alone.”

Nadine: “I’m not a fan. It’s Nadine. We were in a band, to be sure, to be sure.”

Cheryl: “What, Cheryl Cole And Girls Aloud? That band?”

Nadine: “Girls Aloud, yes.”

Cheryl: “Of course I remember, pet. Them girls are me best friends.”

Nadine: “Well, I’m one of them.”

Cheryl: “Sorry, pet. It’s so hard to remember people when you’ve had as many solo hits as me. Are you the one that lives in America no one likes?”

Nadine: “I live in America, but everyone LOVES me. I released a single â€" it did really well. I wasn’t going for critical success. My mammy thought it was a massive hit.”

Cheryl: “And what now, Noreen?”

Nadine: “Well, the band’s getting back together, aren’t we? I’m not bothered, cos I’ve got LOADS going on, but it’s what the fans want, to be sure, to be sure.”

Cheryl: “I’ll see if I can fit it in ⠀" we did sing that friendship never ends.”

Nadine: “I’m not to be sure to be sure that was us, actually.”

Cheryl: “Well, I’ll get me people to call your people.”

Nadine gives Cheryl her mum’s number. Cheryl walks away.
