The Capital FM Summertime Ball kicked off in London yesterday evening, despite the absence of any actual summer.

Not to be deterred, Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry, Rita Ora and more slipped on some SUPER-BRIGHT styles that should probably come with mandatory shades.

Cheryl may have got a bit of fashion flack for her fluro Pam Hogg all-in-one, but she defended it to Capital FM’s Will Coznes saying, “Everybody at the back would be able to see it, it’s like a sexy superhero suit.”

US songstress Katy Perry didn’t disappoint either, popping on a 1950’s style polkadot two-piece crop top and Capri pants combo.

Rita Ora wore-a (hah! we did a rhyme) cupcake and ice lolly print dress too, keeping in theme with the whole Summertime thing, even if the actual sun didn’t get the memo.

Throw in Usher! Ed Sheeran! The Wanted! Dizzee Rascal! JUSTIN BIEBER! and you have yourselves one ruddy star-studded event.
