Katy Perry dismisses her relationship with Rob Ackroyd as ‘not serious’ (here’s to hoping he already knew that)

We’re feeling a tad awkward for Rob Ackroyd right now â€" Katy Perry has just thrown a massive custard pie right across the Atlantic Ocean and straight into his face.

Despite all the gushing that Rob did about Katy in a recent interview, the singer has dismissed their fling (see proof of it here) as nothing serious.

When asked about her dates with the Florence + the Machine guitarist by USA Today, Katy simply said: “That's not even appropriate to label.

“There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious.”

Ouch. We can practically feel the warmth radiating from Rob’s cheeks.

When asked about Katy last month, he said: “She loves London, so I’m just showing her the sight.”

And when asked  whether they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend or if it was purely ‘about sex’, he replied: “No, no, it’s not like that.

“Um, more like the other one... She’s the real deal.”

Better luck next time, eh Rob?

If Rob finds this a tad embarrassing, he probably shouldn’t watch Katy’s film Part Of Me. It hears the 27 year old stating that she doesn’t want to find a new man.

She says: “For me, right now, I'm totally not looking. I'm just looking to heal. And I'm on that path. My fairy tale has absolutely changed. I don't need the Prince Charming to have my own happy ending. I can make the happy ending myself.”
