Tulisa flies off handle at airport: X Factor star in row after her PA is 'headbutted'

X FACTOR star Tulisa became embroiled in a blazing row after pal Gareth Varey was allegedly butted inside an airport shop.

The singer let rip at security and a couple as they prepared to board a flight from Glasgow to London.

Varey, who is also 23-year-old Tulisa’s PA, was later hauled off the plane and quizzed by police.

Witnesses said the bust-up began in a WHSmith, when another customer made a derogatory remark about the former N-Dubz star.

It is claimed an argument broke out and Varey was headbutted in the face.

The group were ­accompanied by airport security to the departure gate for take-off, where one onlooker told how a commotion flared.

He said: “There was a lot of talk about one of Tulisa’s group being headbutted. They all wanted the matter to be sorted out before take-off.”

Varey then boarded the plane, without Tulisa.

The witness added: “She stayed back with a girl and a guy and continued arguing their case with staff.

"She was desperately trying to defuse the situation but the argument was getting heated.

“Tulisa was saying she didn’t want to see her friend get into any other arguments as a result of this one not being rectified.

"She didn’t want to leave the matter unresolved.”

Police escorted Varey off the flight and questioned him. Officers also quizzed the other person involved in the altercation.

Tulisa and her pal eventually took off for London.

She was on her way home after performing at the In: Demand Live concert at the SECC on Sunday.

Strathclyde police said yesterday: “We were called to an incident within Glasgow airport involving two people.

"They were both spoken to and no complaint was made. There will be no further police action at this time.”

A spokesman for Tulisa said: “There was an argument at the airport but no further action is being taken.”
