At 3am, we're pretty excited about the Jubilee. We can hang bunting in the office, and make the cardboard cutout queen drink booze, and this is the kind of thing we LOVE to do.
But we're not alone in our excitement. Jessie J is also very excited about it - especially since she's performing at the Diamond Jubilee Concert. The Queen wrote to her (almost) personally to ask her as well.
âWhen I got the letter asking me to perform, I felt really proud," Jessie told Grazia magazine. "Itâs a proper letter from the Queenâs secretary. Iâm keeping it in a memory book. Itâs written on this lovely thick notepaper. I keep feeling it.â
Jessie - who was posing in this very regal shoot for Grazia - also talked about this Saturday's Voice final.
âItâs been an honour to be part of a TV show that celebrates the voice," she said (we think that was for you again, X Factor). "It will be a massive night for the artists, coaches and crew.
âI love working with my team. Plus, I see a lot of myself in Becky. I thought the BBC was making a mistake asking me to do it in the first place. I kept saying, âPeople might not know who I am!ââ
And if you had heard the rumour about Jessie demanding a yoga mat in her room (we hadn't), she's keen to tell you that's not true.
âThere isnât anything flash in my dressing room," she said. "No champagne. No yoga mats or anything. That was meant to be one of my diva demands. I did ask for a scented candle. I donât think itâs too much to ask for a nice, relaxing smell in the room."
We don't think so either! In fact, we love a nice relaxing smell from a scented candle and demand them (from our boyfriend) all the time. But the next request's the best one...
"I also asked for a lava lamp [amazing]. When I was a kid, they used to have a room at Great Ormond Street Hospital where youâd go and chill out. It was full of lava lamps and water lamps and since then itâs always been a way to help me wind down. I never got one, and thatâs OK. But is there anything wrong with asking for what you know is good for you? Does that make you a diva, a pain? Or does it make you someone who knows what they want?â
The full interview appears in this weekâs Grazia magazine, on sale now.
And The Voice final is on BBC1 this Saturday. Are you excited? Or over it? Let us know below. Also fee free to include your thoughts on lava lamps. As teens of the 90s, we're BIG fans.
