We want to growl, ‘Go on son!’ and shove our fist in the air while snarling, but that would be a bit masculine, a touch aggressive (and let’s face it we’ve had enough of fights today, haven’t we Chris Brown / Drake? ) and pretty weird, so we’ll just do it in our head.

The reason we have this strange desire is because One Direction’s wee Irish blondie is venturing out into the world of lady killing â€" not literally â€" he’s far too nice for that.

No, Niall has confirmed he’s made the first move on American hot stuff Demi Lovato after lots of talk about them fancying the pants off each other.

“She’s a cool girl, so I got in contact with her. She’s really nice,” Niall told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. Cu e girlie screeeeeeeeam.

We suspect there’s also going to be a few girlie tears shed over this too â€" as Niall’s fans realise their dream of marrying him could have just moved even further than the million miles away it already was.

Unfortunately Niall doesn’t give away any gory details (we do love a detail), but things are moving… in the right direction - sorry couldn’t resist.

On their future he would only say: “I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Nope, none of us do Niall, so you’re alone there and we won’t take that as a negative, especially since Demi’s been so open about her feelings towards him.

In an interview with We Love Pop magazine she mentioned Niall twice . When asked who she thinks is best, One Direction or The Wanted, she replies, "One Direction all the way! I'm a huge 1D fan! I love Niall, he is sooooo cute. I hear he's really sweet and he's a cutey pie."

Then she was asked if she could snog one of 1D who would she choose: "I would snog Niall. I do have a little crush on him."

And then Niall did the interview below and said he’s got a crush on her… and now he’s contacted her… and this basically means they’re going to get married and have little Niall and Demis! (we’re a bit over excited, it’s Friday and all that).
