We help Joey recover from getting mugged with a leisurely interview by the pool (you’ll never guess what we discovered)

When we heard that Joey Essex had been attacked by armed robbers in London on Wednesday (find out more on that here), we assumed he would pull out of the interview we had scheduled for yesterday afternoon, on account of having the shakes and what not.

But it turns out that Joey did still want to have a nice chat with us â€" and not only did he not have the shakes, but he was on cracking form, touching his privates in those short shorts every four seconds as usual.

We caught up with Joey at Brockwell Lido in Brixton (surprisingly nice â€" we’d thoroughly recommend it to any keen swimmers) at the launch of his new limited edition Summer D’reem scent for Surf. Yeah, you heard.

After telling Joey how much we wanted to cuddle his head after we found out about the mugging (he didn’t sound that impressed about that), we chatted about TOWIE, life outside of TOWIE (er, there isn’t one), Mark Wright’s new show and that funky little outfit of his.  

We also couldn’t help but find out whether a rumour that we’d heard is true: that Joey can’t tell the time.

But onto more important things â€" us girls at 3am are currently working on our very own Top 100 Sexiest Men (look out for it tomorrow!) and, as a sneaky preview, we can confirm that Joey is in there somewhere. Down to his beautiful face more than his intellectual wit, but you know.
