Although it hadnât been announced, everyone figured that Spencer Matthews had decided to leave Made In Chelsea after he signed up to Channel 5 show The Bachelor.
On MICâs counterpart, The Only Way Is Essex, cast members are required to leave after taking on new projects, because itâs not natural enough for the reality format.
However, it would seem that TOWIEâs older, posher brother doesnât feel the same way, with Spencer revealing that he hasnât left Made In Chelsea after all.
Despite being the star of The Bachelor â" which kicks off tonight â" Spencer said heâs very much planning to return to the fourth series of the E4 show.
When asked by website Digital Spy whether heâd terminated his contract with MIC, Spencer said: âNo, I haven't as far as I'm aware.Â
âThe two shows don't conflict and there will be a season four of Made In Chelsea. Discussions are taking place right now and at no point have I left the show.Â
âI love the show and if I'm allowed to proceed, I'd want to take part again. It's just something we're talking about at the moment.â
Ahh, what a relief - whether you fancy him or not, Spencer is a huge part of the west London show.
Does that mean heâs going to have to face a very angry (and somewhat deluded) Louise, who seems to think theyâre getting back together after Spencer has finished being wooed by 24 beautiful women ( see them all here ). Good luck with that.
