Considering we whimper if we so much as stub our toe on our office chair, we can't imagine how painful it would be to have a tattoo inside our actual mouths. Ouch.
But Ke$ha's obviously a bit braver than us as er, she's done just that. At around 1am last night (in LA, anyway) she tweeted "new tattoo!" - and attached this picture of the inside of her lower lip. Yes, that says "SUCK IT".
She also posted pictures of the lucky man who got to put his hands in her dirty mouth - a bloke called Jules, who works at Alchemy Tattoo Parlour in LA. How do you even do that kind of tattoo? Do you have to clamp your mouth open? What if he slips or spells the word wrong? Do you get painkillers or is Ke$ha just really, really brave? We need to know, please.
You'll be shocked to know (you won't) that Ke$ha already has a few tattoos - including the word "YEAH!" on her foot - a home-made one done by a friend. Again, ouch. She has an anchor on her wrist and a dollar sign on her hand. Er, at least her latest one is easy to cover up?
She's a bit obsessed with tattoos - she gave Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne a tat while they were working together in the studio. It's on his big toe, randomly. "We showed up at her house, and she has a tattoo gun that she gives everyone a tattoo with, so within 20 minutes of being at her house, I had a tattoo on my toe; it's the only tattoo I've ever had," he said last month. We're not so keen on that house rule.
But Ke$ha doesn't exactly come recommended as a professional tattooist - when she tried her homemade tattoo skills on Andrew WK, he got an infection so bad, he had to go to the doctor. He said: "It got infected. It's an unfortunate aftermath and my body ended up rejecting the ink and I had to go to the doctor. But it actually left a nice scar which was, in fact, cooler than the tattoo that's in the exact shape of the tattoo." Er, that's all ok then ...
By now, you're probably thinking: "Hang on, shouldn't she be working on an album or something?" and you'd be right. Ke$ha's just finished her new album, which is due out later this year. Last month, a track called Supernatural, that she made with Katy Perry's songwriter and producer Dr Luke, leaked online. She was a bit gutted, Tweeting: "Oh no!" and promising fans new music very soon. Get a move on, Ke$ha.
What are our other favourite, tattooed pop stars up to? Well, Rihanna's escaping a fire , and Victoria Becham's sneaked back to LA while the rest of the Spice Girls went for dinner. Ooh.
