Despite being vocal about never reading stories about herself, Cheryl just can’t keep her hands off a copy of the Daily Mirror to get her regular fix of gossip from 3am. In which, I occasionally reference the great thinkers of yesteryear.

The singer responded on Twitter to the story in today’s paper about her walking off from an interview when the interviewee (or prankster, as it turned out) kept asking her the philosophical question: “Why are we here?”

Cheryl wrote: “Fyi.. I have never walked out of an interview in my career. I had to be reminded of what your even referring to.. Stop telling lies lol”

I can only assume she was joking - well, she was clearly laughing out loud while she wrote it - because in the incident I was referring to, she did indeed walk off from.

(She must know this now, as she has been told exactly which incident I’m referring to.)

So, FYI Cheryl, 3am don’t tell lies. You walked off from the chat, which was taking place in the media room of Wembley Arena, between yourself and a BBC3 ‘journalist’, and moved on.

You were quite right to do so, as they were being a bit silly, and you had other, more sensible, interviews to do.

Now, let’s stop telling lies and go back to being BFFs. lol.
