"Roamin da streets since 6am!": Rihanna gets an early morning wake-up after a fire at her London hotel

Even when Rihanna tries to have a quiet night in front of the TV, somehow she ends up in a dramatic situation.

She tweeted a picture of herself in a taxi just after 9am this morning, saying: "Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly". She then followed it up with an Instagram picture of a fire engine outside her hotel. Poor Rihanna looks knackered, all wrapped up in a hoodie. Especially as, going from past nights out, she probably only got in around 5am.

Rihanna tweeted this around 9am.

The London Fire Brigade confirmed the incident, saying: "We dealt with a small fire in a lift shaft at a hotel on Whitehall Place, SW1 this morning. Rihanna was 1 of 300 evacuated, no-one was injured." They confirmed the alarm, over a fire on the seventh floor, was raised around 6.22am and was all over by 7.52am. Why did no-one tell Rihanna? She was still 'roaming' about in a cab at 9am.

The London Fire Brigade's Watch Manager Javan Day issued a statement saying: “The hotel staff were excellent and followed their evacuation plans to the letter. We dealt with the incident very quickly and fortunately the guests weren’t outside for too long. I heard whispers that there was a famous tennis player at the hotel but had no idea Rihanna was evacuated. This is not the first time I’ve been at a fire involving a singer. About 17 years ago I rescued Sinitta’s dog from a house fire in Fulham. I would rather have met Rihanna.”

She's also performing at Wireless next weekend, where she'll headline the Sunday night, after her ex Drake performs on Saturday night. Both days are sold out. We cannot WAIT to see what she wears. Probably something with a rude word on, we'll guess.

Ri-Ri (as her friends, and therefore us call her) has also tweeted that she's been in the studio while she's in London. "We made magic in the studio" she wrote on Twitter. We love her, but Rihanna: take a holiday.

Meanwhile, we wish Drake would stay OUT of the studio if he's going to be mean about Rihanna in songs. You kiss your mother with that mouth, Drake?
