“I can’t even describe how happy I am”: Chantelle Houghton gushes about her gorgeous baby girl (we’ve made the assumption that she’s gorgeous)

Chantelle Houghton has had just over a week to reflect on motherhood and, boy, is she having a lovely time.

The reality star had all sorts of relationship issues and admitted that she was terrified ahead of the birth of her little girl on June 17, but it sounds like having a baby with Alex Reid was the best decision she’s ever made.

Chantelle is no longer glum and freaking out about the birth

In Chantelle’s weekly column for new! magazine, she couldn’t have sounded more chuffed. She wrote with a laptop on one arm and her daughter in the other: “I’m feeling on top of the world after having my baby girl. I can’t even describe how happy I am. It’s the best thing I’ve ever, ever done and I just wish I’d done it sooner!

“Alex feels the same way. His heart melted when he saw first saw her. She’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen and I’m completely in love with her.”

We said she was having a lovely time â€" this interview couldn’t be more different from that time she was mostly hiding in the cupboard.

Chantelle continued: “Bringing a new life into the world is such an amazing thing and she’s another addition to the family. All the grandparents are over the moon.

“When Alex’s parents came to visit, Alex had just done a workout at home, so that’s why he’s a bit sweaty and wearing a breathing strip on his nose to open up his airways!

“His parents bought the most gorgeous bunny for the baby â€" it’s really cute.”
