Despite insisting that Harry Styles has always felt like a little brother to her (even though she’s younger than Caroline Flack), Cheryl Cole has admitted that she gets why people fancy the little star.

In a new interview with Sugarscape, Cheryl did a bit of talking about One Direction’s amazing success and how she likes to take credit for the boys.

She told the website: “I took credit for [One Direction] on Twitter â€" I Twittered the boys, saying ‘Remember who really mentored you when Simon wasn’t around!’

“There was a couple of weekends where Simon [Cowell] was poorly and I had to mentor them, so I take full responsibility for all their success â€" and over the pond, I think it’s all me.”

We’re sure that dress rehearsal on Friday afternoon back in 2010 really was super helpful â€" Cheryl is powerful like that.

And when asked whether she fancies a bit of Hazza Styles, who had a penchant for older women, Cheryl chuckled and said: “Harry? I’ve seen Harry in his boxer shorts.”

Who? Me?

Ooh! Where? When? After a heavy night out? On Skype? In his X Factor dressing room? Yeah, probably the last one. Boring.

Cheryl continued: “Harry’s a little brother type, but I get it, the girls go crazy for him â€" and the women.”There’s that “little brother” comment again, but we like the addition of “and the women”, as if she has a little secret and a glint in her eye.

The Geordie singer also spoke about the 10 year reunion of Girls Aloud, and their recent meetings about a special comeback. Having confirmed that the band is still very much alive, Cheryl said: “In November, we’ll be 10 years old. My nephew was born when I got into the group and he’s now 10, so his whole life â€" a whole person â€" we’ve been existing for and we have to celebrate that.”

Deep. She added: “We haven’t got any plans yet, as to speak. But at the end of the year, who knows?”

We think she meant to say ‘so to speak’ there.

But back to One Direction - you MUST go and stare at these photos of the lads before they were famous that emerged today. Too cute.
