It’s understandable if Gary Barlow fancied a little lay in this morning and told his X Factor bosses he couldn’t make it to the Manchester auditions today. He was kind of busy last night after all organising and singing at that little event you may have heard of, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concert .
The gig didn’t finish until around 11pm and we’d imagine he had a little tipple after of the special Moet Chandon champers that was on tap along with all the other starry types there, in pure relief that he didn’t swear in front of The Queen or forget to order the party poppers... at least we don’t think he did.
It’s a good 200 miles from London to Manchester too, so actually getting himself to the X Factor auditions there today would have been problematic.
Thankfully there’s plenty to stare at anyway as the latest guest judge has just made her first appearance.
Mel B has wiggled up in a very flattering and very tight black and white contour dress, looking all Kim Kardashian - she's so US these days.
We’re not sure what Tulisa is wearing because it’s totally confused us. We just don’t get it. She teamed a very short black flared skirt and white T-shirt with neon pattern with bright yellow platforms, which seemed to prevent her from actually walking. Oh and braces - yeah, odd.
Something else that's got a touch of the bizarre about it, is Louis Walsh’s hair. That transplant has certainly worked, eh? In fact if he’s not careful, he’ll start looking like the Queen soon…
*UPDATE: X Factor have just informed us that Gary Barlow is indeed at the auditions, he wasn't late and he certainly didn't get drunk after last night 's party. We say, he should have done because he deserved too. We'll bring you the pictures when we get them.
