Last night basically contained all the ingredients for our perfect night. There was a never ending supply of cocktails (the most important one), more stunning, sparkly Louboutin shoes than we could shake both legs at (they did shake when we saw them too), lots of celebrity types, one of our biggest male crushes ever and⦠GOSSIP.
So weâll start with the latter, first. Basically Mollie King from The Saturdays had to endure that awful moment when you come face to face with your (very hot) ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend. Shudder.
Ewww, we feel sick on her behalf (and not because we had too many Martini cocktails, honest).
Mollie and David only broke up in January when, just after saying he could see them spending âthe next 40 years togetherâ, he then dumped her because they never saw each other and gave an interview to Menâs Health blaming his perfectionism, in part.
He also said his career came first and he hoped to one day find a woman heâd be willing to put first instead : âHopefully, one day a girl will come along and Iâll think sheâs far superior to my work and let my priorities go. Thatâs what Iâm aiming for.â
So, Mollie wasnât that person then. Ouch.
Heâs been pretty quick to move on too and last night we saw him kissing new girlfriend, model Sarah Ann Macklin on the dancefloor. It hurt us too Molly.
Just before this we cornered David and tried to kiss him to do a bit of digging and as well as telling us heâd just got back from New York, he said he hadnât spoken to Mollie, even though she was stood just metres away.
âNo, I havenât had the chance because Iâm working tonight,â he said as we very nearly drowned in his amazing blue eyes.
David made his first public appearance with Sarah at the weekend at the St Regis International Cup, when he told The Daily Telegraph: âIâm here with my girlfriend, sheâs a model as well. Itâs easy to meet and get on with people who do the same thing as you.â
Another dig at his ex? Mollie, who's been linked to Prince Harry since anyway , so there, seemed to hold it together pretty well though and when we caught up with her and Rochelle at the bar, they were more interested in talking about pretty shoes, which to be fair is one of the best ways to mend a broken heart.
And seeing as Christine Louboutin heels are the like the pinnacle of shoe heaven, we were all in luck, because as well as the man himself being there to help judge the search for the new face of Martini, hundreds of pairs of his finest creations were also on display in an exhibition a floor below the bar at the Design Museum in London. Girlie squeals all round.
It was all a bit much to take in one night to be honest, so weâre just off for a little nap â" nothing to do with a hangover.
If youâre a girl and fancy yourself as the next face of Martini, get yourself in here â" you could follow in the footsteps of Charlize Theron and Monica Bellucci, win £120k, a yearâs worth of designer outfits and 12 pairs of Louboutins. Heaven.
