Geri Halliwell's appointment as the fourth X Factor judge has been er, a bit controversial to say the least - but at least she's on best behaviour on her first day at work. Oh, hang on: no she's not.
While Louis Walsh (looking dapper in a white shirt and grey jacket) and Gary Barlow (looking handsome as always) arrived on time and went straight inside, and Tulisa walked the red carpet in a £60 floral Lipsy dress, Geri arrived in a very different way ...
The singer, 39, arrived by car, and (wearing a very short blue lace dress and white boots) clambered up on the roof of her car and started shouting at them through a loud-hailer. Just your average first day at work then.
The audience inside have been Tweeting that the auditions are starting late - and most are blaming Geri's stunt for keeping them waiting. Audience member Claire Miller wrote on Twitter: "Ohhhhhh I know why we are waiting, Geri Halliwell is running late!!! Typical."
Geri's only standing in temporarily - but insiders say that she could get the seat on the panel if she impresses at the auditions. So maybe this is all part of the plan ...
"Assuming she passes her final dress rehearsal at the auditions in Liverpool, the job is hers," said the source. "She has a great chemistry with Louis and bosses expect these two to join forces against Gary which will make for great viewing."
If you remember, when Geri stood in for Dannii Minogue at the auditions two years ago, she talked ... and talked ... and talked. Does this mean X Factor will be on for four hours every weekend now?
She's already started bonding with her colleagues - going for a white wine with Tulisa last night. Maybe that's why she was a bit late this morning ...
Good luck Geri! We hope this year's X Factor winner will have more luck than poor Leon Jackson, who's taken to hanging about in portaloos.
